Some features, such as login with Google or Apple, will be released in future updates. Please wait for a little longer.
How Our Developers Use Tanuki
In our previous introduction, we focused on some conceptual topics, so this time, I’d like to share how I personally use Tanuki in my daily life.
Among the products sold at supermarkets in Japan, rice is still the most talked-about item. It’s been almost a year since rice prices started rising, and while there are signs that prices may finally drop, it’s still difficult to find good deals due to fierce competition.
I used to eat rice as my main staple, but since the price hike, I’ve increased my consumption of udon and pasta to save money.
At the supermarket I frequent, boiled udon is sold for 28 yen (0.2 USD) per pack, and there’s a discount if you buy in sets of three, so I often buy three or six packs at a time.
While it’s cheaper than frozen udon, the shelf life is short, so I have to buy it every time I go shopping. If I forget, I end up with no staple food at home.
These “must-not-forget” items are perfect to manage with Tanuki.
I go to the supermarket about twice a week, so I set Tanuki to automatically add udon to my shopping list every four days.
Before developing Tanuki, I always had to think about “what do I need to buy today?” before each shopping trip. Now, I just open my list when I arrive at the store, which has greatly reduced my shopping stress.
Especially after work, when I’m tired, it’s a relief to have fewer things to think about.
We hope you’ll try Tanuki and make your shopping even more convenient!
In Closing
Now that we’ve released on both Android and iOS, we finally feel like we’re at the starting line as an app. From here, we’ll focus on developing new features to make Tanuki even more useful and user-friendly, reflecting feedback from all our users.
Our team still has many features we want to bring to life. Please look forward to future updates!
